To Compare.I do not know  the face of God,  or what Father Time looks like  but I do know  when they are around me.  I know that God is in  the midday blue,  cloudless sky.  He is in the songs  of the birds  outside my math class window and  he is in the quiet cold mornings, in the dew of dawn light.  Father Time, however, is much simpler.  He is in the only three weeks  until I get to see  you. To Compare.

A New Heart.The rain is an equalizer,  we are all freezing, we are all wet,  
we are all.  I've started to understand that  the rain is an equalizer,  but so is confidence.  So is the knowledge that  
they are not better than me, rather  they are the same as me.    I don't know if this is because  of the shrinking size of my body  or it's because of living in a city that does not know  
how to sleep,  from running the streets in the early hours of  the dark and cold mornings,  from surviving trains that would  swallow others alive,  I don't know why,   A New Heart.

I've finally turned 18.
Somehow...I don't feel very accomplished?
I think that's because in the country that I live in now, turning 18 means nothing.
The legal age here is 20. So I still have two more years until I'm an adult and I can do whatever I want.
I guess when I come back to America I can go out and do all those 18 year old things,
but what would I even do?

Celebrating a birthday in a foreign country just isn't as fun as it would be with friends.
But it still wasn't too bad of a day.

Typhoon 18 on my 18th birthday. Ironic?

Man, you're so lucky. I'd love to visit Japan, it's definitely one of my goals in life... I want to save up some money and spend a couple weeks there some time, maybe in one year, two, who knows. Hard thing would be getting one of my friends to go with me, or someone to show me around 'cause my Japanese consists of maybe two words at the most. :P

I'm excited to go for the first time, I know it'll be awesome.

I hope you can get there somehow!

&aw, you should learn more Japanese. I'm going there with my dad next month and I pretty much have to be the translator with what I do know how to say because my dad is fail at Japanese.
I'll just have to see how that goes. xD

A girl from work said she has a friend that lives in Japan and that she could show me around or get info for me if I make plans... I really hope I can visit as soon as possible. :please:
